Dean Wilson's picture

Moody Swamp

Scouting out the area I realized with all the bramble around the edge that a low angle with a anchor would not work if I wanted to capture any reflection. So, raise just above the bramble enough for reflection. Adjusted the light balance for a moody, gloomy swamp look.

It's a nice capture, but colors seem to be a bit off. Fix the color and add orton effect and you are solid.

I like this image, Dean! I think you've achieved your aim.

It's your image, and reflects your own take on the world, so I wouldn't quite agree with Ray that your colours are off or need to be fixed, as the cool blues and verdant green suit the scene. However if it were my image I would probably reduce the saturation, and perhaps warm the colour very slighlly. As it is, the colour presents a slight visual barrier to my subjectively entering that gloomy space, robbing the image of some ot its power. I don't know if that makes any sense, or is complete gobbledygook to you. It's difficult to express clearly.

Anyway, it's YOUR image, and well done.
