On the first photo, I would crop out almost all the beach since it doesn't add anything to the photo. Leave just enough to have a base for the rocks and the sitting people. Also crop some of the left side of the photo behind the ship--perhaps half of what is there now.
For the second photo I would crop out half the sky and also the beach/creek below the two rocks next to all the seagulls. This would leave a strong horizontal composition with the jetty as well as the creek pointing to the ship.
The first one for me. Perhaps highlight the clouds a bit and crop some of the foreground.
