My favorite season of the year in the alpine is fall. The majority of the bugs are dead, temperatures are moderate, and the foliage colors explode. This past weekend my friend Jacob Klassen and I hiked up 5040peak and were blessed with some of the best conditions I've witnessed on Vancouver Island. Due to the smoke from the California wildfires, the atmosphere's moisture stayed low and created a thick cloud inversion. This completely transforms the landscape in an amazing way, and we were lucky enough to capture it!
You're welcome.

J/K, glad your efforts paid off, Eric. Love the diffused sun, detail, and layers.
Cheers,
Rob
Really love this shot--truly an otherworldly scene! Already a 3-4 star image for me, but if I were to offer any suggestions, I might have just a touch less foreground. Either way, I'd say it's portfolio-worthy--which is saying something given the quality of the rest of your work.
