The changing leaves and cooling breeze mark the start of the most awe-inspiring time of year. Upon feeling the first breath of cool air we have had in southeastern NC since April, I pack my car and took off for the mountains. A couple days of hiking through thick mist and some rain certainly paid off. Most of these images are focus stacks of anywhere from 2 to 5 images. Thanks to the thick mist and overcast skies, I was able to comfortably shoot 1-2second exposures to smooth out the water some.
Love each of these beautiful images.
