I spent a morning attempting woodland shots. Nothing really clicked there as the light was not great, so I returned home thinking the day was a bust. Then just before sunset I noticed the colours in the sky, booked up to a nearby reservoir and was treated to this.

The sky is phenomenal and I like a tree silhouette.
I don't care for the strip of water (?) at the bottom of the frame. It isn't adding to the composition and I find it distracting.
agreed. Though I am using this photo as my computer desk top and the strip on the bottom is backlighting the Mac dock rather nicely ;-). I would cut it if I was to print this.
