Window to the Sea

I like the composition and the colors from a stormy day with just a little sun - but have I over-done using Saturation and Vibrance?

With perhaps the exception of the deep blue on the left side wall; this does not look over saturated or too vibrant.

Well observed - the blue on the left wall has become much more clear and strong than the pale and dark blue before my editing.
I like the strong colors on the walls - but you can definitely argue if it is too much.

If you look around this site a bit, Jan, I'm sure you'll find your colour saturation in this image is relatively low by the standards of many here!

Personally, I think your colours here are just right - a bit on the edge as you suggest, but less might make the scene a bit bland. The glass panel does tint the sea more strongly than you'd expect, for the reasons you mention below, but for me it adds a slight sense of intrigue to the image.

the sea is not the same color through the opening as it is on both sides of the opening so in my opinion yes

Would the water's change of color be a function of the glass?

I think you are seeing the sea through an inch of greenish glass in the opening, John, just as the sky is more strongly green tinted through the roof of this curious little booth.

When I look at the photo before my editing there are differences between through the glass and beside the glass - but these differences are smaller than in the final version. Seems as if Saturation and Vibrance amplifies the differences which might make sense.

No, I don't think so. Interesting scene and image.

Thanks :)

Very Nice

Thanks :)
