Glenoe Waterfall

Glenoe Waterfall near Larne in County Antrim. My first visit to this beautiful spot and my first attempt at photographing a waterfall. I placed the tripod in the shallow river in order to get more of the boulders in the foreground. I used a 2 second exposure which was a guess but it seemed to work as there wasn't a lot of flow.

Beautiful!

I would consider softening the foliage to put more emphasis on the waterfall.

Either way, really nicely done!

That's something to consider. I always try to get my photos sharp throughout but perhaps I should try softening less important elements. Thanks for the tip!

Not that I want to reflect on your photograph ; it's more of a general question that I'm not sure where to put but why do people like to show moving water as 'fluffy'?

I must say that I don't have a problem with the leaf color.

It's an artistic effect. Some people like it, some don't. Sometimes it looks beautiful, other times it looks terrible.

Thanks. It's not what my eye sees when I'm out with my camera but I guess others do. I was wondering, "Is that how it is supposed to be done?"

It's been a thing for the last number of years that I'm not a fan of at all. Of course, there are degrees of this. There's a really good photographer Tom Till unfortunately liked to push the colors. But fortunately this trend (including TT) is beginning to go away.
