Matthijs Bettman's picture

Sahara sand in the sky gives some vibrant colours!

We, as in the Netherlands, had a weekend with high clouds that where filled with sand from the Sahara. Why is this special? With this kind of sand in the clouds, the reflecting light you get on those clouds is multiplied! So, this means that the colours are crazy vibrant. It also lasted for multiple hours, which is rare!

What do you think?

Nice, Matthijs! More evocative of the Sahara than your homeland... Nice change from windmills and Amsterdam, beautiful though they can be!

nice job. really like the treatment on the first one with the strong leading lines

I agree.

Thanks mate! I had some direct light coming into the scene.
