Good job, John! I like the flow in your strong composition, and the way it leads the eye to the sunlit foreground patch. I think the composition is spot-on, and I don't often think that. MAYBE you could shave a little off the very top, so the water flows corner-to-corner, but I just tried that and it's not an improvement.
Your image makes me so want to get back into this sort of territory!
