Peter Dyndiuk's picture

Mid-day photography, making the best of harsh light. (Part 2)

Continuing my exploration along Kane creek in the Pioneer mountains of central Idaho I finally happened upon a section of the creek that formed a nice lead to the mountains in the background. Standing in the ice cold snow runoff, I decided on a series of six second exposures to give a little "character" to the stream. Moderate polarization was used for the water to remove what would have otherwise been a ribbon of bright silver.

The scrub tree on the upper right is a bit of a distraction, but there was no way to compose the shot with out it. Otherwise I think it's a solid image.

Let me know what you think, and how you think it compares to the last shot :)

Awesome shot

Thanks so much :)

Wow, that's great

Thanks Chris!

Great shot, and i don't think the scrub tree on the right is a distraction, for me it adds a little more character to the picture (that's my opinion though, and i'm sure others would disagree)....

Thanks Joey!

Nice shot!

Thanks Ray!
