Earlier in the day, I'd seen a hint of clouds in the sky and so there was the possibility of an interesting sunset. Took a nap and woke up just in time. Was still feeling pretty tired but thought I'd step outside just to take a look. As I was walking past this crack in the wall of Forum of Augustus, I saw this scene unfolding. Usually I'd setup my tripod but I knew the sun would be gone in a minute or so, so I quickly down to F16 to maximize d-o-f and turned on bracketing. Didn't have high hopes in post but was able to manually blend exposures using luminosity masks and am quite happy with the end result.
sorry, was I supposed to introduce myself first?
