Got out for the second time this year and the first real chance to get a landscape shot in about 8 months. It was a cold day over here in western New York, and I was fortunate enough to get out to a massive waterfall that is always ready.
Taughannock Falls is 215 feet high and is the start of a 3/4 mile long canyon into Cayuga Lake.
I spent the better part of 3 hours here and was glad I brought my seal skin socks today. while setting up for the shot my filter holder fell into the creek and luckily landed on some ice forming between the rocks. I had to pack up my bag and walk through 6-8 inches of freezing water with 18 degree air temps and a decent wind chill from the falls that were moving heavy due to some rain from a few days before.
Lovely image.
