Mount Rainier on a cold calm morning last fall

This photo was taken about 6 months ago. From what I understand it looks very different now, there was much less snow accumulated on the mountain then.

It's small in the picture, but near the center of the frame, poking out of the tree line, is glacier overlook. It's where I proposed to my fiancé. I thought the way the mountain looked humongous behind it really made for a great picture.

After seeing it on a bigger screen than my camera, I wish I would have found a way to show the overlook better. Maybe a clearer view of it, or getting a closer shot. But I'm still pretty happy with how this turned out. I think the mountain looks amazing - it's breathtaking when you're standing there in front of it.
