Gotta say I'm pretty satisfied so far with my trip to Acadia National Park. I was only there Monday through Wednesday of this week. I was a little nervous because you just never know what conditions you are going to get and I had only a short time there. I had the goal of getting 2-3 portfolio worthy images and I think I have accomplished that goal. This shot is from Boulder Beach and is one of my favorites so far. I wish I would have gotten a better sky but that's out of my control. I could and might look at doing a replacement with this image but I also kind of like just the clear gradient as well. The one thing I would change is getting closer to the water but there were unpredictable waves coming in and I just couldn't risk destroying my gear. All in all though I'm pretty satisfied with this one. Would love to know what you think/any feedback you may have. Thanks.
I would be very happy with this image (that prolly doesn't mean a lot I know). Love the texture on the wet boulders. Lovely natural colours and look and not like the many over processed images I frequently see.
"and I just couldn't risk destroying my gear" - Isn't the Natural World inconsiderate to us landscape photographers.
Thank you! I am very happy with this image as well. I was very cognizant of the colors in the sky and tried to be very careful not to make them too crazy. And yes, mother nature seems hell bent on trying it's best to be a pain to us landscape photographers. Thanks again!
