I had about 3 days to spend in Acadia National Park in late July. This was my 2nd visit to Acadia. Acadia is probably my favorite place for photography I've been so far. I love seascapes/landscapes and long exposures with waves crashing on rocks.
I didn't get a great sunset during my stay but sometimes you just have to work with what you have. I had a goal of getting 2-5 portfolio worthy images while I was there. The images at Otter Cliffs and Boulder Beach were shot the same day. My third image is from Cadillac mountain shot the previous day. Was really hoping to get the sun on the horizon shot at Cadillac but the clouds and haze had other ideas. The image with the ship is from downtown Bar Harbor. It was taken the first day/night that we got into Bar Harbor. There was a lot of fog and clouds moving in that day. No sunset at all really but there was a great moody atmosphere. I was there to photograph Acadia but the ship in Bar Harbor might actually be my favorite.
Overall I'm pretty happy with the 4 of these. Really wish I would have had some more time in the park. It's a landscape photographers dream. I'm really hoping to go back again at some point. Would love to get some feedback on these images.
