I decided to get up early for sunrise during a recent trip to the Outer Banks. There were supposed to be storms later in the day so I was hoping for an interesting sky in the morning. The colors did not last long during sunrise, but they lasted long enough for me to take a long exposure to get the clouds streaking across the sky. This was taken at the beach behind the Sanderlingresort in Duck North Carolina.

Like it, Kyle! A very simple and effective, well-balanced composition, letting the Turneresque colours do the talking.
It would be good if there were more life in the beach at lower right, but this would be hard to achieve without the image looking obviously manipulated.
The one thing that mars it for me is a clockwise rotation of about 0.7 degreess, but which somehow looks worse with this balance of light and dark masses. If it were my own image, I'd be torn about deliberately over-correcting it so it LOOKS right, maybe a whole degree or very slightly more. Small tilts like this in sea horizons are very noticeable to some people.
