I photographed this series of images using my GFX-100s + GF 45-100, GF 100-200mm lens two weeks ago. I saw these storm clouds forming, immediately packed my gear, and headed out to the farmlands to find different scenes that go with the clouds. It was hard labor, but it paid off in the end.
I like your perspective, especially the 4th one. Nice work !
Thank you, I appreciate it.
Wonderful work, Rhonald! Love 'em all, especially the broodier ones (the fifth is a bit pretty, by comparison). In case you don't know it already, you might appreciate Mitch Dobrowner's work. His mono monograph "Storms" is very much in this vein.
But there's a depth, and for want of a better word, liquidity in your images that separates yours from his. The buildings and other landscape features seem to hang in the moist air to me. I don't know how you did it. We all have our unique vision - and I like yours here a lot!
You've really excelled yourself here. Your best work so far. Well done!
I can even forgive your central placement of those buildings. ;-)
Just giving you some portfolio ratings, Rhonald, I notice the third image isn't included. It's well deserving of being there in my opinion. It's my equal favourite.
