I have always preferred sunrise than sunset to shoot pictures, places are less crowded and there is something special about doing something you like while the rest of the word is asleep. For this picture, I woke up at 3 am and at the beginning the clouds were not in the position I wanted them to be. Luckily the sunrise at Lofoten's latitude in summer last for a while so, after a couple of hours I get the perfect condition to create the picture I had in mind!

I am a morning person but for sun rise/set I prefer set as West is over water and East is usually trees.
I have discovered that people usually don't hang around for evening Blue Hour.

Sure, that also depends on the location.
That's true people don’t seem to appreciate blue hour that much, and that's a pity.
This is actually a 150 seconds exposure!
I'm an evening person, but I enjoy all the sunrise photos that you early birds take :D
