I am always trying to expand my skills...well except for perhaps Portraits and Weddings.
Bird feeders are the easiest way to attract birds, but the draw back. It only attracts small fast flighty birds. (I tried using roadkill to attract larger raptors, but the neighbors complained...sheesh).
Another challenge is to photograph a crushed can to tell a story.
Neither of these are great, I'm just having a fun time with retirement.
I can see myself trying to look for a story behind the crashed can shot, it was late and the boyfriend didn't show up etc.

The same for me! The combination of the very old iron bench and the can/plastic mug on the floor invites one to make up a story! Concerning the picture processing: what about a square format and a slight vignette to guide the attention away from the light blue sky background towards the bench and the can and ... ?

Actually there is quite a bit cropped top and bottom and two exposure gradient, one on top-left and the other on the bottom-right.
I use a light hand with vignette because I want the forced focus to be unrealized.
