Introduction Seeking Advice

Hi,

I would love to introduce myself as that young whippersnapper to the realm of nature photography. At the young age of 23 I have no idea where my career is taking me. Currently working full time out in the field as a nature photographer building up a stunning portfolio and winning awards and publications for my work. I really am looking for some kind of guidance on where I should be heading. My photography has only taken me so far but I feel that my introverted personality is holding me back quite a bit for pursuing this as a career option.

What I really need is a mentor but through my experience everyone is too busy to take me on. If I could give up everything focus on photography and make a living I would be the happiest chap in the world. On top of all this I recently moved to beautiful BC so learning a new area and trying to make new friends is tough.

Looking forward to getting to know the Fstoppers Community!

Very good work Michael.About being an introvert join the club. At 23 I was also quite shy and was probably born an introvert and still am. But as you mature you can overcome that.In life in my real job I did a lot of counselllng work and interviewing people and I also did wedding photography for many years and all the interaction with people that involves. I also worked in public relations for a while.Learn as much as you can from others and go for it. If I had been told at 23 I would have ended up doing all the things I did and still do I would have laughed.

Great work... keep it up, I've got my eye on you!

PS - This is one of the rare occasions I've seen birds shot with a personality. Normally, they're just "birds". You manage to communicate their individuality.
