Walking shot portrait. Only natural light was used. Building left and right blocked the light. I let the model look towards me and her face was iluminated by the sky from behind the camera.
This is not one of these hold-my-hand-pictures. It just looks like one due to accident. It was shot using an 85mm lense.
Boring technical question, did you use a continuous focus for this? Seems your aperture is very low but your focus is also pretty good.

Yes, I did use continuous focus here. The aperture is at f/2.2 which is very shallow at a focal length of 85mm. This is a 1 out of 10 shots, were the focus is spot on. There is no special technique for this, it is only about luck to nail the focus. :-D
Yeah any motion is pretty tough! Last time I did someone walking away I prefocused at a distance, got the job done but certainly wasn't tack-sharp. I don't use continuous focus too much, irrational distrust lol, might have to switch over every once in a while :).
