I don't really consider myself to be a portrait photographer. My passion is out in the wild with nothing but fresh air and some place new to explore. But on occasion I get asked to take a picture of a real live human and I actually felt pretty good about this one.
For a non-portrait photographer, I'd say it looks great!
But watch out for cropping at the joints. Looks odd with the crop right at her knee.
Ahh, I see what you mean. I'll watch out for that on the next one. Thanks! :)
I loved this. :)
Wonderful subject- background - lighting combination.
I somehow feel the exposure can be a tad under say 1/3 of a stop or even lesser, and it might look even better, especially the skin. :)
And agree with Tom's comment on cropping the knee, which i feel would have accidentally occurred while focusing the face and expression. :)
Cheers. :)
Thank you so much for your input! I definitely have things to keep in mind the next time I try something like this!
Love this! Normally, I would have agreed about under exposing slightly, but I the light on her is right on the money. The knee has already been touched on, and thank you for keeping her head out of the sky!
