I find that portrait photography should convey a sense of the person being photographed. I don't find much connection with the subject in this photo although it is technically well executed.
Thanks a lot dear Lee,
By the way, your Critique the Community Episodes, and your tutorials made me a better photographer, and improved a lot.
Thank you so much Fstopers for helping me to improve my photography skills.
keep the great work up..
I feel that if this shot was slightly pulled back and displayed the environment just a tad bit more, it would add a bit more life to it. The light on her arm also seems to grab my attention away from her face due to the brightness of that spot.
It's a solid shot but there isn't much to it. Her expression feels a bit flat to me. This one has more life: https://fstoppers.com/photo/151614

this is a very clean image .. i like the interaction of textures youve displayed .. hair texture is rich and the skin looks almost porcelean

I like the soft earthy tones and moody natural light
Thanks buddy
Technical good, nice skin tones, but I am not able to connect to the model. It is just someone drinking from a cup.
Though she has a cup of coffee and is relaxing, her face appears too posed...if that makes any sense. Technically it is lovely.
