A shoot fell off so I asked a friend of my brother-in-law to pose for a quick portrait after we did some action shots. I had just picked up the Phottix Mitros+ and Odin set to give me more options on top of the 430EX II I had, so I was mostly playing with those.
I'm not 100% on the crop/frame. That's what I went with in the end in the interest of getting a quick portrait out.
So. What could I have done better, differently? Does it work as is? Anything I should look at doing in post? I definitely don't do enough portrait work so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
My biggest complaint would probably be the crop. Feels too tight on the left.
Thanks for taking the time! That's my thought as well. I didn't necessarily want to back off anymore and making him smaller in the frame. I definitely regret it though.
Thanks again!
I think this could be cropped more to just head and shoulders - take the motorcycle out completely. The chin may be a little too high for that, though.
