I strong image concept both in composition and execution. The great tones and dynamics work very well to emphasize the eye of the image. The one thing that I feel fights your idea is the white band with some sort of lines/textures on the left side. Right next to the ear. The rest of the image is subtle gradients, stark lines, sensual curves, and deep blacks but that element breaks that feel, for me. Good work!
