Let's go ahead and back down that "fake snow" filter a bit, especially off his face and the weird typography on the right hand side really draws the eye away from the action... super distracting.
It's a great shot - the tones are fantastic, especially and it's really well framed.
But I would agree that the fake snow effect is making it look like a weaker than it actually is. There's no snow around him and the snow itself looks very 2 dimensional. I'd agree with James that it'd be a much more realistic photo if it was toned down a bit.
