I love using natural light for my portraits but the use of flash gives images a little more pop, . I've used it here in my backlit image, I rarely use flash for these , so CC is more than welcome

I think adding rim lights, etc to natural light images is great. Why not? So you have the sun...awesome, one light, adding more to get the look you want is no sin. I wish people would call "natural light photography" "one big light" photography.
The result looks good. But I think it's a good when making posts like these to include details of what you did so other people can try out techniques. Eg "I used the speedlight on the hotshoe, no light modifiers, flash balanced to be 1/2 my exposure." Plus you might get useful suggestions for alternatives that way.
