Doesn't work for me as a portrait because it's not about the person - the only feeling I get about the person is "This is a professional model". So it feels like a model shot - a person in an artificial pose which emphasizes the stylist's work. Which is good. The texture and drape of the jacket comes over well and the bracelet and sunglasses make nice contributions - excellent work combining the sunglasses with the chunky tarnished silver and creating an implied triangle with the two lenses and the bracelet as vertices. But it looks lifestyle fashion rather than portrait.
Of course if you have a different definition of portrait, not a problem...
