Large watermarks are generally considered problematic. In this case the girl with flowers picture is ruined by the watermark. If you want to make sure people can identify your work, then a smaller watermark (but more opaque) should suffice.
Hi David! Thank you. I use this for copyright. But I appreciate your feedback! I'll remove this picture and
Upload the one without the watermark! Perhaps then people will enjoy the photograph and see
Past the watermark! Xx
I don't think watermarking actually affects your copyright one way or another. In practical terms, you're extremely unlikely ever to gain anything from an obtrusive watermark and you may lose an opportunity to promote your work.
I second everything the dude above me just said. Watermarks are completely useless and provide exactly ZERO upside. Your work would instantly benefit from their removal.
Love the work!.. I too now avoid the watermarks on my photos.. I now look at things from a different perspective... Im actually excited that someone would find one of my photos worth stealing!
Very nice, I like that you are using light shadows on faces (first 2 shots) when appropriate, the 3rd photo is gorgeous, any parent will look at these even years from now and love them. Working with young kids is tough as they move constantly and posing/lighting for perfect placed shadows is close to impossible at times unless they are sleeping.
Looks like some good work to me!
Thanks Craig! Love your portfolio
I dunno if you can find your feet until you lose the watermark...
I don't understand what you mean? Should I have removed the watermark before I posted it
On here? X

Also, anyone who wants to steal your images can try this - it will probably work:

Or they'd just use the "content aware fill" in Photoshop or GMIC.
