This is my first post here and I'd like to hear any kind of opinions.

Pretty solid shot. Has a lot of unnecessary head room. Crop out that headroom for a much more engaging shot. Next time shoot with less headroom unless you are intending to crop to 4:5 or something for print.

Thank you for your advice! (:

Hey, thanks for sharing. Nice pose, but I prefer to see the eyes-windows of the soul...the bottom 3rd is a bit distracting & the background is busy as well...skin tone seems a bit off/green/yellow, mottled light. (1/2 stop bright ?). Again, lovely model, pose, & theme. Cheers,
Andrew

Thank you for your thoughts! :)

I think the 6D should give you enough pixels for a tighter crop. I went 4x6 but with time I would have tried others. Nice image, thanks for sharing.

In my opinion, I think that is a little bit too "crowded" and I always feel that I need more space, but that's just what my eye needs to see. I often break all the rules, but I know that your crop would be more corect than my photo.. so thank you for that :)

I like space too, but I guess is depends on what kind of portrait you are taking. Lots of space is generally used in an environmental portraits where the environment around the subject is also very important to the image. Otherwise, with a standard portrait the subject and the subject's eyes tend to be most important and other space and or distractions are limited. So I think that is where Jared was coming from with his comment...in other words, if this is a portrait, there is not much focus on the subject with all that extra space.

Ok. Thanks! :)
