Pinup Portrait - Beckey

Grabbed this frame of Beckey during a themed pinup shoot. Would love to hear your thoughts and CC.

Sorry - for me the shot is dominated by the model's left eye (ie camera right.) It's the focal point of the image - because its emphasized by her raised arm - and it looks rather odd.

Eyes don't always have to align with the head exactly, but half the iris disappearing behind the socket is too much. I'd suggest both maintaining the eyeline by twisting at the waist a little and shooting a version with that torso position but not quite as much "eyes right".

...The shot could possibly be saved by whiting out the left eye and cutting and pasting the iris from the right eye.

Love the look you've achieved with the lighting set up. I'm going to have to agree with David and say the "pocket eye" is particularly distracting as well as the way her shoulder and chest are merging together at the neckline of the top. As much as I love her cheek bone and jaw line, I wonder if you had arched the camera around to the right a little could you have relieved some of the foreshortening around her chest and kept her gaze from being quite so hard to the right. Great color and real clean look though. I like it.
