How far do you go with skin?

Hey,

I really like to work with d&b get rid of blemish but how far do you go.
Attached a Portrait of last Sunday.

How do you think to much or to less work on skin?

Thanks and have good day.

I also remove some of the shadows under eyes / near lips, yet then I do some brush on alpha channel to get it back a little, right now it's bit too far IMHO. Additionally if I remove shadows under eyes like you do, I quite often add general even shadow in that area on separate layer so it wont look like "glow" :) Cheers, hope it helps a bit.

I fully agree with Pawel Paoro Witkowski, as you did too much with the skin under eyes. And under the right-hand eye, we can see a blurred spot. Also, the skin under the left-side eye is also blurred. I think this needs to be fixed.
This is my opinion.
Good luck to you in your work!

Thanks! as I mentioned I'm not a big fan of changing skin texture, so I'm sorry but her eyes are as they are ;) Attached a before and after.

In general it's not bad, just as I said before - sometimes adding bit of shadow on separate layer can fix this little "overdone" look. On other hand what is "overdone" is very subtle and subjective. I've already had 2 comments on photos where I haven't touched the skin at all that it's overdone so in the end you as an artist define what is good or not (but to judge that correctly you need a ton of aesthetic skill - best thing to improve this if you want to do great things in photography).

I have to say the difference in tone between the face and torso is so distracting to me, the skin treatment seems quiet secondary. It's like the head is from a different body. I would try to make the body tone closer to the lighter side of the face.

Try this: hold your hand so it covers the dark side of the face, notice the difference.
