Pretty Dress, pretty surroundings, but blacks are lost. As always, it is an art, so maybe that is what you were going for. But like to see a softer light and some shadows brought up to see what that would look like. Nice job.

thank you very much for your valuable comment. actually I wanted to highlight the model. that's the reason for more blacks.

I am guessing your model has beautiful hair that can catch highlights, however, the hair is jet back on my monitor with no texture or shape. Maybe if I get back to my office this evening I can more clearly show you what I meant.

Of course.. she had a nice hair. Yes i can understand what you mean. the dark has destroyed the natural beauty of her hair means there are more Blacks in my picture. Thank you very much Joseph! Will keep these advices in my mind when I shoot again and doing post processing

I once made a mistake of photographing my daughter standing right against a garage wall with all the bricks sharp in focus. I was rushed into taking the image. Gives me cold shivers just thinking about. Mount Lavinia has wonderful beaches ...why the concrete wall?

Yeah Elan, Its really a nice beach. I am guessing you have visited Mt. Beach. here I have posted another one. really very thank you for the comment.

No, I have never been to Sri Lanka...but I did google the beach name before making my observation.

I think I can add another thought to this image...I do think the rock in front can be dispense with. No need to be there.

If i remove it won't that be a problem to DOF? With the rock there, is it distracting whole image?

I always play around with different version of the original image during editing and then decide which two or three version appeals to me. Obviously the original image remain unchanged to go back to.

will remove it once i am home and see the difference. thank you very much!
