Hi Alexis, your model is a good choice. Maybe you can make your photo a little darker (applying contrast) (except for the model). I think happy colors will bring your model to the forefront. Capturing is quite good. Congratulations.
I agree, add slight contrast. With contrast, the image will appear to be sharper. Also look into color toning, with time everything will come together! Thanks for sharing!
Don't listen to feedback - develop the style that looks good to your eye and make that your signature look. People will seek you out for your style - don't try to do things exactly the same as most others! I think this photo looks lovely as is. People love the "matte" look.
