First time shooting Hockey

So, Thursday night I was able to shoot the Flyers vs Canucks game at the Wells Fargo Center. I was my first time shooting hockey, even though I have spent my entire life playing. To say it was tough is an understatement. However, it was the most fun I've had in a long time. So here's probably my best shot of the night. If anyone has any tips or advice for next time, if there is a next time, please let me know.

Personally never have shot hockey, heard its tough if you dont get a hole in the glass though. Nice shot!

Well that was pretty good, would love that picture for http://research-paper-writer.net/, it's really not bad.

I've photographed hockey many times and your image is good in that you captured the puck in the action. However this image could be (not saying it is) a game warmup image. The action moves very fast and the puck can travel upwards of 100 MPH so it is a real challenge to get good action shots with the puck visible in the image. Try to capture images where there is no question it's a game shot. My sample image does that for the viewer. You can see the puck on the ice just in front of the goalie but you can also see lots of action going on in the image. Also, if you had captured the puck hitting the blocker or deflecting off the goalie that would even be better. I hope you get to shoot more hockey. Enjoy!

I also like shooting sports, especially hockey... In CT the photo group I belonged to got press passes for the bridgeport Sound Tigers a couple years ago... I wish I can get my foot in the door... anyway here is my absolute favorite out of the 500 I took..
