Hey everybody, my name is Rex, I currently live in Saint George, Utah. Most of my photography is one landscape or another, but on occasion I'll dabble in portraiture and I've studied a wide variety of styles for portraiture simply to grow and expand as a photographer. I'm still pretty new to shooting swimwear and I feel like I've got a lot to learn, but here is a shot that I felt pretty good about. I've already been given some pretty great feedback about what I could have done better, but I'm posting it here to see if anyone else has an observation of something that I could have done differently to improve the image.
Rex, happy to join another one of your groups here. I am also live away from sunny beaches of Cali or Florida, but eager to learn techniques of good bikini photography.
Here is one of mine, shot very recently on Lake Erie. The day was very hot and hazy. And the absence of horizon created very cool backdrop.
That disappearing/absent horizon line in the distance is awesome!! That's something that we definitely don't have out here in Utah.
Hi Rex ! great model and Location ! try Cropping a little more, let the model stand out just a bit more ! im getting a bit lost in the location , if its a swimwear shoot , try too keep the focus on the Bikini or model !
Hi everyone! Been following this page for ages and finally decided to join in on the fun. My name is Germaine and I am a portrait/Landscape photographer based in beautiful Jamaica! I only started shooting swimwear last year as I mainly shot landscapes. I think joining this group will help me develop even further as a swimwear photographer. I just love Thailand! Been there my first time last year to Phi Phi and Phuket. I've never loved a trip soooo much like Thailand. Thai people are always smiling and treating you well.

I just posted a new discussion in this group asking for advice on a few of my shots, not noticing this discussion already existing; but any feed back you guys have for my photography is very highly regarded, and appreciated! Here are my favorite photos from my most recent shoots. I'm a very green photographer, as I only ave about 4-5 months of DSLR work under my belt, and only about a month of swimwear work, scattered across a handful of individual shoots. So any input is soaked up like a sponge!
Hi Rex! Andy here :) I'm a portrait photographer in Western IL (we have a scenic view of Iowa from here). Thought I'd share an "experimental shot" from a session I had with a young lady for our local Hooters swimsuit competition. AB800 with an umbrella modifier providing the front light. Setting sun behind a local landmark helping tie the model to the Quad Cities area. I'm always willing to learn!
