I can't really tell the difference (in general) so why go through the hassle. For instance, assuming those 3 images are on film, those could be easily be replicated in digital. Slightly underexposed, desaturated and with some grain. The 1st image is more on the yellow tint. 2nd image, has a teal/orange feel. 3rd image, feels neutral.
You definitely have a point, I shot digital for 7 years before switching full time to film, I could easily have just edited them to a point, which I did for a while. Film is definitely not conventional anymore but I feel it just has to be something you fall in love with for some reason or another. However, not recommended for just every person to sell digital equipment for film haha. Love Hearing your side Eddie!
