Hi, I'm 20 years old, I love to travel, explore and adventure and have been trying to figure this out for a while. I am not planning to become a professional photographer but would love to do more with my photos. Does anyone have (not generic) advice on how I can find work with brands, magazines, websites, travel companies or people to put my work to use primarily through projects anfd jobs and get some sponsorship for some of my trips in exchange for blogs, photos and travel plans..? Thanks!
I've been wondering the same thing for years. I guess there is no non-generic approach to that. You need to have a strong portfolio (website) and self promote yourself on social media and in real life till you are sick of it (and do it in a way that others are not). And then in the end it comes all down to being in the right place at the right time and knowing people who know people, no matter how good you are or how much time you have invested..
Oh, and I guess living somewhere in North America helps in that genre I guess..
