So I've been shooting weddings for about a year now. I work a lot for two photographer mates who bounce me between their respective businesses as second photographer when their client orders such a package that requires it. I owe my own business and wedding photography skills (and first clients) to both these gems of human beings who saw my images, and gave me a shot. I even run weddings for them as lead when the opportunity strikes! So this is just a big shout out to all those wedding photographers who have given up and coming photographers a shot.
Giving newbies a chance is a good thing, and by mentoring them and helping them grow as photographers you are making a difference to peoples lives y helping them realise their dreams.
So thanks guys and gals! From a second (and now lead) wedding photographer, I thank you for the gift of your kindness and your knowledge.
In a similar context, I would also like to thank everyone on this site that contributes their knowledge for the benefit of others learning the trade. You are absolute champions!
To end this post, enjoy a couple of photos I managed to take last weekend (my 25th Wedding!) before the Bride and Groom got in their car and headed to the airport for their honeymoon.
Did you only use the ambient light in the room
Sure did. 1/160 @ iso 3200.
I really like them, but I feel like a strobe here or there would make the image that much better
