Tunji Faluyi's picture

First Engagement Session

I really want to know everyones opinion. I don't care how trivial I want to hear it all. The images were shot using a nikon d3s, a nikon 80-200 (from the 90s), and a Ziess 35mm f1.4 zf.2.

I like them. Lot of great emotion in there and thats what you want in any couples photos. I would recommend using the rule of thirds a little more and pushing the couple to the left or right in some, but apart from that very nice.

thanks for the feedback any thoughts on the editing

I like your photos, except for the 5th one - I think there's too many things there with the tree and the windows and the geometry on the bottom. The couple doesn't stand out. But all other pictures are really cool :)

Yeah, you're right, I should've probably played with the dof a little more to make them stand out

Number 2 and number 3 are great shots. The rest are OK except for the one where the lattice work completely blocks the woman's face. This is OK to attempt but it is one that having seen the results I would have deleted.

The second to last image is a good type to take as most couples do not know how to stand together and this sort of pose requires the feet of one of them to be in between the feet of the other person. Often I see couples initially standing toe to toe and making an "A" with their bodies until I work with them.
