Hi everyone. For the last 3 years I have mainly been shooting my family and decided to start building a portfolio (also while studying my butt off to learn posing, lighting, gear etc.). Mainly I want to dip my toes into everything to see what exactly I like and then head in that direction. However, while looking around for MUA's and hair to do my first session, a perfect opportunity jumped in my lap to work with models, excellent location/s, florist and bridal gowns and I'm not going to turn the opportunity down. With that being said, looking back, what would be your "must haves" in your portfolio if you can do it all over again to land your first paying job? Variation? Steady branding? Would you have spent the money (or made better contacts) for better locations from the start?
Thank you for your help,
Kirk
