With the new 105mm opened wide, the busy texture of this background turns into a fairy-tale swirl of cats-eye bokeh. This added a beautifully romantic look to what was actually a small strip of green behind an industrial estate.

I dig this! I have a 135 f/2, but seeing shots like this has me thinking the 105 is a little nicer for portraits.
Thanks Eric, I have the 135 as well and I wasn't too happy with it's detail at f/2 so I was carrying an 85 f/1.4 as well. The 105 sorted out both my needs and meant I was carrying one lens instead of two and selling off both the other lenses made the expense hurt a little less :-)
If you like your 135, Sigma have announced a 135 f/1.8 Art to be released soon that might be an even nicer bet. If I didn't already have the 105, I would probably be looking at that pretty closely.
