Prince Harry Wins Damages From Photo Agency Who Released Helicopter Photos of His Home

An LA-based photo agency has apologized and agreed to pay “substantial” damages to Prince Harry after they flew a helicopter over his home, taking images of his living room and bedroom.

Splash News, who specializes in entertainment news, was responsible for invasive images of his rural retreat home. The incident happened back in January of this year, with the resulting pictures being released to the media. The images featured within Closer magazine, as well as a local newspaper.

As per AP, the royal has now reached a settlement over the privacy and data protection claims, although the figure remains currently undisclosed to the public.

The Prince’s attorney says that the release of the images is particularly frustrating given that Harry and Meghan chose the property due to “the high level of privacy it afforded” and have since been left with no choice but to move out, due to it “seriously undermin[ing]” their safety.

Splash News released the following statement: “[We] recognized that this situation represents an error of judgment [and we] apologize to the Duke and Duchess [of Sussex] for the distress we have caused.” The agency also added that it will “cease and desist from selling, issuing, publishing or making available the photographs” and “not repeat its conduct by using any aerial means to take photographs or film footage of the duke’s private home.”

Privacy Invasion and Tabloids are threats to all.

Please, please, please, fly over my house so that I can sue the heck out of the magazine.

LA based photo agency - no surprise there.

Not if you can't have your guns.

"entertainment news" is an oxymoron for those with a life and redundant for those without.

Right, who gives a shit how Prince Harry lives. Really, it is about as boring as it gets.
