Backlit Hawk

This Cooper's Hawk is back lit by the sun. This actually created a weird effect with the feathers well defined but glowing. It actually took considerably post processing to make the image look like this. I've found the fast Cooper's hawk a difficult bird to capture. They fly low, which makes their speed even more of an issue. They dart about trying to snag red cardinals, equally elusive.
