Although it looks like I'm in a hole to get this view, he was above on the rocks coming out of a seam between the giant boulders that are stacked up all over Joshua Tree National Park. He seemed a bit interested in what we were doing or just keeping an eye on us while he warmed himself in the desert sun.
What I found amazing about this one is how well his coloring matched the boulder he was on!
