Thanks for enjoy my image. I shot the background in during blue hour, in the dark took about 100 photos of the fireflies, then layered them.
I fully agree to Patrick. This scene remembers me of a personal experience I had in Italy. Thousands of these fireflies illuminated a garden above Florence. It was just impressive same as this photo.

Man, I have this reoccurring firefly photo in my head and this is better than anything I can imagine. This is so cool! Is it a single exposure or did you layer in multiple frames to make more light patterns?
