My son Ynigo 20 months old peek at me behind the sofa, no words yet but I got the message.
I was testing a Canon 6d Body with the Sigma A 50mm 1.4. I was trying to get action shots of my boy jumping and running then we got tired so we took a rest. Then I caught him peeking at me behind the sofa so I immediately took the shot. The best shot of the day came unplanned, I'm glad I had the camera in my hand to capture his smile telling me "Come on daddy I'm ready to play again".

I guess the light from the window is so diffused and the upholstery of the sofa is white making the bounced light softer. The only thing I have retouched in this photo was the eyes, I just did a little dodge and burn and that's it. I have this printed and on the print I cropped the photo to show more of my son.

I just got a 6D, and will be testing out the same combination. I don't think I have anyone quite as cute to test on, though!
Great shot!! My very active son is one of the hardest subjects to take a picture of and the best shots are often unplanned as well.
