It’s definitely not a perfect shot - too tight, off-center, and the focus bailed at the last second. But let’s be real: I wasn’t ready for a high-speed fur missile to launch out of the woods on a fetch-and-retreive workshop.
There was no plan, no warning - just me, and a very determined dog on a mission.
But none of that matters.
Because in that burst of motion and joy, something genuine broke through - not just a dog running wild, but a moment of unfiltered energy, instinct, and trust.
That’s why this frame stays with me.
Not because it’s perfect. But because it’s true.
Not perfect. Just real.
