Mantis

Came across this Praying Mantis hanging upside down on this plant. I started taking a few images when I noticed its eye was sunk in. Wounded from possibly another insect fought back or it was attacked by something. When I started taking pictures the Mantis started moving around somewhat interested in what I was doing. It started walking and crawling around the plant when it took its position on the plant edge. Just stood there looking off. It almost feels like he won the battle and is standing tall wounded but surveying its realm.
This is an 8 frame stack in zerene stacker. Edited in Lightroom.
Shot with an Olympus on-1 mkii. With the 90mm macro. Godox v860iii.
