F-18

The F/A-18 Hornet's maneuverability stems from its leading-edge extensions (LEX), digital fly-by-wire system, good thrust-to-weight ratio, and high angle-of-attack (AoA) capability, allowing it to perform tight turns and maintain control at high speeds and unusual angles. While not as agile as some single-engine fighters like the F-16 in sustained turns, its design excels at low-speed, high-AoA maneuvering, giving it a small turning circle and excellent nose-pointing ability for close-in dogfights.

The plane was turning right over my head. Due to the speed of the plane and the time of day (it was early blue hour), I managed to get this shot at f/6.3 (the minimum f possible with my Sony 200-600) at 600 mm, 1/2500 s to freeze action, and 20,000 ISO!!!

The photo was taken at the event "Fest al cel 2025" in Salou, Tarragona, Spain.
